Discovering this special region of the country is about understanding a unique life style , with a wood sculpture civilization that goes beyond time and exceptional traditions carefully preserved along the years. And when it comes to music and dance , there seems to be a totally different world. This is a land of legend , where you definitely forget about time.

ITINERARY

Day 1
Arrival in Tirgu Mures airport, transfer to hotel. Dinner & overnight.

Day 2
Breakfast. Drive to Sibiu , where we visit the fortress with brick walls and narrow streets, the Brukenthal Museum with its baroque architecture of the 18th century, shelters the biggest art collection in Transilvania, the historical downtown with old city hotel built in the gothic style of the 15th century , the small and big Plazas with gothic architectural monuments , the Council Tower. Lunch. After lunch we can visit the Museum of Traditional Village Civilization , placed in a natural park ,outside the city, holds a big collection of old Romanian houses. It is one of the biggest European museums in open air. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Sibiu.

Day 3
After breakfast , we leave to Alba Iulia the city of the Union of the three Romanian provinces. Lunch . Departure to Cluj Napoca - the capital of Transilvania. Sightseeing tour , we'll see the Orthodox Cathedral, the Gothic St. Michael's Church, and the National Theater. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Cluj Napoca.

Day 4
Breakfast. Departure to Baia-Mare, the central city of Maramures, an ancient region with unique folklore and traditions. Lunch. We continue road to Sapanta - a village in the ancient region of Oas. Is famous because of its Merry Cemetery , one of the biggest attractions world-wide, no.1 in Europe among funeral monuments and no.2 in the World after the Valley of Kings - Egypt. And also, we can visit peasant's markets and craftshops, famous 14thc. wooden churches. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Sighet or Vadul Izei.

Day 5
Breakfast and departure to Vatra Dornei ,a health mountain spa , surrounded by Caliman massif , reaching even 2100 m , is situated at an average height of 800m. On the road we can visit the monument from Moisei. Lunch in Vatra Dornei. Departure to Tihuta Pass. Overnight at the Dracula Hotel and enjoy a Dracula theme dinner.

Day 6
Breakfast , short visit to Bistrita ,the Museum of dolls and masks , the Evanghelistic Church, the medieval fortress and boutique from the 15th century. Lunch in Bistrita . After lunch, we go for a wine-tasting in Lechinta . Dinner and overnight in hotel Coroana.

Day 7
Breakfast.Transfer to Tirgu Mures. City tour with the Hall of Culture , the City Hall , the Orthdox Cathedrale and Catholic Cathedrale, the National Theatre ,Teleki Library , the fortress. Lunch. Leisure time for shopping. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 8
Breakfast. Transfer to Tg.Mures airport.
