BUCOVINA is the country of painted monasteries , treasures of Moldavia , civilizations of the 15th-17th centuries. To get the picture of Bucovina , you have to go through its villages, to see its landscapes , learning the history of people and places.

ITINERARY

Day 1
Arrival in Tirgu Mures airport, transfer to hotel . Dinner & overnight.

Day 2
Breakfast , leave from Tirgu Mures to Sighisoara , one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe - the only one still inhabited. Short city tour with visit of fortress , Citadel, the 14thc. Clock Tower and Count Dracula's birth house. Lunch at the restaurant opened right in the house where the famous figure Vlad de Impaler ( Dracu ) was born.     Departure to Poiana Brasov , a very famous mountain resort for a short visit. Dinner with folklore program at the restaurant Cetate 'Cerbul Carpatin' Overnight in hotel in Brasov.

Day 3
After breakfast , visit the baroque downtown of Brasov with the Council Plaza and the gothic Black Church that houses a priceless collection of Oriental rugs as well as a 4000-pipe organ. Departure to the famous Sinaia Resort. Visit the Peles Castle (the summer residence of the former Romanian royal family) and Sinaia Monastery. Lunch in Brasov. Departure to Tusnad , a famous health spa . Dinner & overnight in hotel in Tusnad.

Day 4
After breakfast , we leave for Red Lake and Bicaz Gorge, one of the most impressive monuments of nature in Romania. Lunch at Durau ,situated down at the basis of Ceahlau massive , the so-called 'Olympus of Moldavia'. After lunch, we leave for a visit to Monastery Neamt , surrounded by magnificient landscapes and sheltering genuine artistic treasures. A short visit to Vanatori ,near the Monastery Neamt , in the heart of an Oak Forest , there is the bison's reservation ( this animal is the historic symbol of Moldavia ). Dinner & overnight in hotel in Suceava.

Day 5
After breakfast, we visit Suceava, the ancient court of Stefan Cel Mare , where we can visit the fortress and the church where the rulers of Moldavia were crowned. Visit of Ciprian Porumbecu house. Lunch at Gura Humorului . After we visit two monasteries with outside frescoes Voronet and Humor. Monastery Voronet , often called "the Sixtine Chapel of the East", Voronet's frescoes are painted in a unique shade of blue known to painters throughout the world as Voronet Blue. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Suceava.

Day 6
Breakfast. Today's itinerary takes you to the best known painted monasteries in all of Romania: Putna , Sucevita and Moldovita. Lunch at Vatra Moldovitei .Afternoon drive to Tihuta Pass. Dinner, fire camp and overnight at Hotel Dracula , hotel built in the same style as the Castle of Prince Dracula.

Day 7
Breakfast , short visit to Bistrita ,the Museum of dolls and masks , the Evanghelistic Church, the medieval fortress and boutique from the 15th century. Lunch in Bistrita . After lunch, we go for a wine-tasting in Lechinta . Diner and overnight in hotel in Tirgu Mures.

Day 8
Breakfast. Transfer to Tirgu Mures airport.
